Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to drive to different locations. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills to ensure positive Patient Experience outcome and be a team player. It is essential to have good communication skills both verbal and written as well as basic computer knowledge. Applicant must possess the ability to multitask in a fast pace environment and pay close attentions to details. To ensure hospital payment in a timely manner, knowledge of Medical Insurances and Medical terminology is a plus. Applicant must be able to work in different software at one time to ensure electronic medical records are accurate for both medical and billing purposes. Patient Access Associate will be working at 100 Hospital Road Tuesday to Thursday 4p to 8p with Evenings and Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) obligations. Staff will need to be flexible to work in all areas of Patient Access especially in the Emergency Department.
Applicant responsibilities are to create a positive patient experience while capturing patient’s demographic and insurance information for accurate medical records and timely reimbursement from the insurance companies.
