Circulate and scrub for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures (diagnostic and interventional), Administration and monitoring of moderate sedation. Pre and post procedure preparation and recovery of cardiac cath and electrophysiology patients. Assist in other areas of the organization during down times. On call/recall required for this position.
Recent cath lab and or Electrophysiology experience preferred. Physically able to perform CPR, lift and transfer patients, document and stand/walk for extended periods of time, and wear protective gear as appropriate for assigned area including, but not limited to, lead garments and isolation garments. Practice reflects customer service excellence.Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written format. Analytical ability to assess and develop solutions to clinical situations or unit problems. Ability to adapt to new technologies.
Current NYS RN license, BSN preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required. Successful completion of critical care course.
