The primary responsibilities are to oversee and coordinate the Life Safety Management requirements required by NFPA, DNV, and local AHJ to ensure all required regulation are adhered to and documented at all BMHMC offsite facilities. In addition, oversee facility repairs and maintenance issues that may arise at all offsite locations operated by BMHMC and ensure that resolutions to identified issues are facilitated. Under the direction of Engineering Management will ensure that all offsite locations meet all codes and standards including NYS, DNV, OSHA, Local Fire, NFPA and CMS/DOH regulations.
Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent, college degree preferred
Knowledge of New York State, NFPA, DNV, DOH, OSHA, and Life Safety regulations standards and codes.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in facilities repairs and maintenance, experience within a healthcare facility is preferred.
Working knowledge of computers and basic programs.
Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively.
Ability to stand/walk for an entire 7.5 hour shift
Knowledge and hands on experience of tools and equipment used in the facilities maintenance
Valid NYS drivers license
NYS Security Guard License ( can be obtained within 6 months of hire)
