    The Behavioral Health Associate is an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team and assists the team in the observation, reporting , and intervention of care for all patients. He/she performs services in the provision of supportive and/or restorative care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Performs other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse and/or Nurse Manager.



    Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience or Associate degree with two (2) years experience preferred.

        Ability to work effectively with Behavioral Health patients.

        Knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention techniques .

        Knowledge of Restraint policy and procedure for the hospital

        First Aid Training.

        BLS Certification.

        De-escalation Training.

        Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.

        Occasionally pushes/pulls up to 25 lbs.

        Occasionally bends, squats, kneels, and reaches above shoulders.

        Sits or stands for long periods of time; 30 minutes or more.
