    The Clinical Instructor will assume a major role in the orientation of new nursing personnel. She is responsible for the orientation process from the classroom to the clinical area by working with the orientee and the preceptor. The roles of the Clinical Instructor are of educator, facilitator, change agent, consultant, researcher and leader. The roles emerge from the ANA Scope and Standard of Practice for Nursing Professional Development.


    Current license to practice professional nursing in New York State.

    Bachelor’s or BSN required, Master’s Degree preferred, BLS and ACLS required.

    5+ years progressively more responsible nursing acute care experience 

    Demonstrates knowledge of relevant educational content, including knowledge of teaching and learning theories, principles of adult education, testing, measurement and evaluation.
