Actively demonstrates leadership ability consistent with the mission and vision of the organization. Works collaboratively with management teams at all levels throughout the organization. Plans and administers directly and through subordinate supervisory personnel, the effective management and delivery of quality patient care for all areas of responsibilities. Participates in the development and revision of nursing standards of care and the integration of such standards throughout the organization. Assists in the preparation of capital and operational budgets for assigned area, monitors compliance and identifies variances.
Advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a Masters Degree in Nursing or Health Management Field
Current New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse
Approximately five to seven years of progressive responsibility with current and comprehensive experience in assigned patient areas, policies and procedures and organizational management
Practice reflects customer service excellence
Analytical ability necessary to assess and develop solutions to complex administrative situations
Analytical ability necessary to develop budgets for assigned areas and track and identify variance.
Leadership skills necessary to provide effective management of subordinate personnel, maintain a variety of internal and external contacts and successfully interact with staff, physicians, managers and other organizational executives
