Performs all functions of the Hemodialysis Chief Technician as needed. Maintains dialysis equipment. Establishes required inventory on dialysis supplies, orders and maintains supplies. In-services clinical staff on use and monitoring technical equipment. Assists in supervising Water Quality and equipment. Participates in education/professional development and unit performance improvement projects.
Daily monitoring of dialysis machines and Reverse osmosis equipment. Performs AAMI water quality testing per unit policy. Maintains records and ensures results are within acceptable range. Performs or arranges preventative maintenace on dialysis machines, Reverse Osmosis systems, Deionization per recommendations of manufacturer and/or unit policy. Inservices clinical staff and completes annual competencies on water quality. Maintains adequate supplies to ensure effective and efficient operation of the dialysis unit.
High School diploma, Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT), BLS certification
